TechieDiva - Christmas Giveaway

Today is the final day of a giveaway worth $6,000 in electronics by a super popular women's tech blog, Techie Diva! They teamed up with HP and Microsoft as one of the world's top 50 blogs to administer this holiday gift! I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to showcase this blog, and I'm also participating in their wonderful giveaway, this blog post being my entry!

If I win this contest, I will be giving away the spoils to my wonderful fans & friends, those who follow and keep up with GirlinYourShirt! Secondly, in order to triple my chances of winning this contest, my mother and I decided to bake "THE DIVA" cake and we recorded our experiences to share with all of you. Not only this, but we also shared the experience of us decorating the cake with our fans & friends LIVE on Ustream! We gave away a couple of Techie Diva shirts and had a blast! Girl in Your Shirt loves MyPunchbowl

"A few weeks ago, TechCrunch had an article about a young entrepreneur in the Midwest named Jenae who is starting a marketing company called "Girl in Your Shirt." The premise is simple: for $75, Jenae will spend the day promoting your website around the Internet. The cool thing is that she creates a video on the Girl in Your Shirt site as well as a few of the other newer video websites (such as Seesmic).

"When I saw the original article about TechCrunch, I spent a few minutes checking out her site. With a name like "Girl in Your Shirt," I wanted to make sure that it was an appropriate site and that MyPunchbowl would be represented well. The frequently asked questions mollified my concerns: "However keep in mind that I do not wear tank tops or any other "revealing" attire and reserve the right to reject any offer that I deem inappropriate, offensive, distasteful, etc."

"I immediately filled out the form and submitted a request for Jenae to feature MyPunchbowl on Monday, December 1st. The next morning, I heard from Jenae, and we were all set to go. (One interesting note: a few hours after I paid for our Girl in Your Shirt day, one of our investors wrote me a note saying "Girl in Your Shirt" sounds right up our alley).

"We sent Jenae a package - which included a t-shirt (of course), some stickers, a car magnet, and my favorite: some Big League Chew. On Monday, Jenae featured MyPunchbowl all over the Internet. She did a great job. I was really impressed at how thoughtful and positive the videos were, and she clearly spent some time getting to know the site. She talked about MyPunchbowl Design Studio and MyPunchbowl eCard Studio and did a nice job describing the features and benefits of our site. If you have a website that you want to promote, you would be foolish not to include Girl in Your Shirt as part of your marketing mix.

What's New in Week 2

Hello friends!

Wow, what a ride it's been. When I launched this site two weeks ago the night of Thursday 13th, Nov., I had no idea it would explode and buzz like it has! I was really surprised at the warm welcome I've received amongst you wonderful watchers. I've received many questions and suggestions from you, all of which I love to read & answer. I attempt to answer each of you and befriend you if I may. I whole heartedly appreciate the feedback and have done most all I can to take your advice/input as it comes. I want to give you a high quality show, and won't stop till it happens!

I also appreciate the big help you all have been in spreading the news about GiYS and just as a side note wanted to mention that we'll will have Girl in Your Shirt tees available on the website soon! I'll keep you posted regarding when that occurs. Also, if you've got an email that I haven't yet answered, be patient! I'll be with you as soon as possible! ;-)

For those of you still wondering or confuzzled about what exactly I provide, the stats I'm gaining, and what I can do for you, I will soon have a better and more revised FAQ and About Me section to clear away the clouds. For now, don't hesitate to shoot me an email.

I have a podcast approaching soon as well. I love to focus on web startups & business development, as that is where my passion lies. (For those of you who know me personally, you know that French is #1 too!)

Again, I love your support and am doing all I can to refine the site and the show. When we launched, we were completely feature incomplete except for the ability to purchase a spot! We've come very far the past couple of weeks and hope to continue to truck forward on full speed. I will be in touch with more blogs soon to update you on what's new & in the works for us!
